OpenStudy (anonymous):

same as before, takes two steps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x)=2x-8\\ f(5)=2\times 5-8=?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok good now \(g(x)=x^4\) and so \(g(2)=2^4=?\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

off by a factor of 2, \[2^4=2\times 2\times 2\times 2=16\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 16 is your final answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I see ow you took 2 from the first step to use in the second, but where did the 5 come from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they made it up in other words they just picked 5 it they picked 4, it would have been a different answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. Okay.
