Simplify (3a4 – 2a2 + 5a – 10) – (2a4 + 4a2 + 5a – 2). Btw, i wan't to know how to solve this problem, i do not want to know the direct answer to this problem. (P.s.) Thanks a whole lot! ^_^
i will give medals.

i think its a^4 - 6a^2 - 8 is this correct? if not, please show me how to fix
but how you have got this result ?
write here your calculi please
By the rule of exponents we know that \(\Large C_1 a^x - C_2 b^y\) can only be subtracted if \(\Large a=b \) and \(\Large x=y\) i.e only like terms can be subtracted from like terms. So you can subtract \(\Large 3a^4 - 2a^4 \) but you cannot subtract \(\Large 3a^4 - 2a^5 \) or \(\Large 3a^4 - 2b^4 \)
Use this result to solve your question :)
do you understand @DLS what have wrote above ?
well, here are my calculations
ok. wait
so where are your calculi - these are more simply than you write now
(3a^4 – 2a^2 + 5a – 10) – (2a^4 + 4a^2 + 5a – 2) 3a^4 – 2a^2 + 5a – 10 – (2a4 + 4a2 + 5a – 2) 3a^4 – 2a^2 + 5a – 10 – 2a^4 + 4a^2 - 5a - (– 2) 3a^4 - 2a^2 + 5a - 10 - 2a^4 - 4a^2 -5a + 2 3a^4 - 2a^4 - 2a^2 - 4a^2 + 5a - 5a - 10 + 2 a^4 - 6a^2 - 8
does that make sense? or is it wrong somewhere?
@jhonyy9
nice work - !!! do you understand it now sure ?
yes, thank you very much! ^_^
was my pleasure good luck
oh, can you give DLS the best response on this one @jhonyy9
he helped me too, but i cant give 2 best responses
what mean DLS ? the best respons to you i have do it above for you
@DLS can you give @jhonyy9 your medal, and ill give you my medal?
ok ty. i understand it now good luck
ok, can you do that instead jhonny?
you give @DLS a medal, and i will give you a medal. @jhonyy9
oh, nevermind xD
i think it worked out. ok thanks! ^_^
