If I told you that there are 12 eggs per `carton`, then the expression 12C would represent the total number of eggs. But then clearly C can't be the total, right? C is the number of cartons, 12 eggs per carton, times the number of cartons, gives us the total number of eggs in all of those cartons.

So if she scores 16 points per `game`, 16z represents all of her points that she scored. But then what does the z represent? :o Any ideas?
