OpenStudy (kizolk):

Could we get the solution for problem 4 of PS4 (6.00sc)? The one that's provided is actually unrelated to the problem described in the instructions >.> My program works but I'm not satisfied with it and feel like I'm missing something, and it so happens it's the PS I've had the most trouble solving (more specifically the find_best_shifts_rec function) so I'm curious as to how a more experienced programmer would go about it.

OpenStudy (kizolk):

I had posted my code, but deleted it; I'm gonna be working some more on it and will repost when I'm done. In the mean time, it'd still be great if we could get the solution! :)

OpenStudy (kizolk):

I should add that as davebzesky said in another thread, there are other cases of the solutions provided not matching the instructions; I tried to look for a contact address on the course's page (6.00sc), but there was none, so if someone could pass the message it'd be great!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seeing as the solution still doesn't match the question (at least parts 3-5) a month after this post is there any chance any helpful person on here could post their own version of a solution while we wait for the solutions to be corrected? Unfortunately I haven't been able to produce a functioning find_best_shifts function so far, despite my best debugging efforts, and I don't want to have to move on without seeing how the question could have been answered / what I did wrong. Before I move on I'll be sure to look over my code and clean it up, and any help with that would also be greatly appreciated.
