Why do Buddhists reject the idea of the Hindu caste system? They do not want any influence from other religions. They have their own social class system based on wealth. They practice acceptance and tolerance of all people. They believe that the caste system promotes poor karma.
Hi There! Welcome To Openstudy!!! Any Ideas? c:
im not sure ive been on this question a million times i just dont know what it is
Well do you have a guess?
uhhhh the first one?
hmm, this is hard .. but i know that Buddhism is about equality ..
what do you think it is?
Well..i can't tell you the answer, but i'm trying to read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism_and_Hinduism
Buddha believed that Birth does not make one a priest or an outcaste,Behaviour makes one either a priest or an outcaste. As Hindu caste system divided people into 4 groups-priests, warriors, traders and labourers.Buddha believed in equality. So I think it can be the last option- They believe that the caste system promotes poor karma. But I am a bit confused..
thank you
