Atsie (atsie):

Wow....that looks a lil familiar. Are you with American Online High School by any chance?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! @Atsie

Atsie (atsie):

I AM TO! What grade are you in?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow! I am in 10th grade!

Atsie (atsie):

Me to! Thing is I vaguely learned about this in like 8th grade....and then.... yeah, forgot it because its useless to my life. But anyways, it looks familiar so I'm gonna try to see if i re-figure it out again. Do you like the new system at all?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you! I learned it a little before also but I am so confused on what they are asking me to do haha. no I don't like it, there are not enough assessments that let students express themselves ;(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Atsie ^ sorry

Atsie (atsie):

Oh you know what, I think I learned it in like ninth grade. I'm actually going through ten million files trying to find the assignment I had worked on in relation to this, so gimme a sec there. And yeah, I agree. And you know what else i can't stand? I hate how you have to turn only ONE assignment in per day and you can't do anything more until the teacher grades it and sometimes the teacher takes like THREE days!

Atsie (atsie):

UUUGH! I can't find my file. I don't have everything on a flashdrive, and I've got old schoolwork on an old computer I used to use. I'm just gonna re-figure it out from the info you posted.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aw thank you! I know its crazy! some people want to finish early and they cant because of that!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am so confused im not sure what sources they are asking me to write @atsie

Atsie (atsie):

I am actually one of the ones that needs to finish my classes early cause I'm far behind on a lot of things. I can't stand those roadblocks! I can't believe I found another person who uses the same online school that i do! I can complain about it to someone else freely now! haha :) Anyways, here is something that helps explain the MLA formatting. I think the aim for them teaching you this is to prepare you for those essay's that you would write in college. There are a lot of "citing sources" related to that. So the instructions don't give you any subject matter to look up or source??

Atsie (atsie):

https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/ Here's the MLA formatting thing. Sorry.

Atsie (atsie):

I gotta make dinner, I'll be back in a while. Sorry about that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's okay I just ate dinner haha! I just had the biggest blonde moment, In a previous lesson we had to find sources and write about them and now I think they want us to use those cites but they never told us that hhaaaaa:/. I could still really use your help if that's okay?!

Atsie (atsie):

Sure of course! I'd love to help! Sorry for not coming back yesterday. I got caught up in a web of various things and had to get off the computer. Hey! Don't feel bad! I'm auburn/brunette and I think like a blonde someday's myself! :D
