In what forms of communication are you likely to see connotation used? A. medical journals B. advertisements C. university lectures D. technical manuals
Hi! What do you think?
I think its B. advertisements..because connotation involves feeling/emotions..and advertising uses emotions to try and get people to buy their merchandise
Manuals give instructions about a product. If Sally is caught crying and sobbing over the instructions for her new microwave, then maybe she ought to seek therapy because after all.....its just a microwave! Medical journals are just records basically of people's health issues and can most of the time be like textbooks for doctors and nurses to learn from in order to prescribe, diagnose, and care for their patients. So you can't really expect much emotion from that. An advertisement or a lecture (depending on the subject) are your two main possibilities here. They both have the ability to evoke emotion of some sort.
