can any one help me...to tell about the uses of circular arc approximation in real life?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

more about it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in architecture where we use it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks... i want to know more uses of circular arc approximations.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

How about cutting a slice of pie? This is a bit off-beat, but the pie crust will form an arc and the pie has a radius. Arc length will be x = r * theta, where r is the radius and theta is the central angle (in radians, not in degrees).

OpenStudy (blacksteel):

A good example of where you might actually use this is if you are making something that contains an arc and need to buy material that's sold in straight lengths. For example, say you want to reupholster a chair with a back that is a circular arc. You can calculate the length of the arc so that when you go to the store to buy fabric, you know how many feet to get.

designing a roller coaster

@Human Calculator plz help me in finding more applications of circular arc approximation...i have googled but find only few application...can u plz help in finding them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we cay say that in our real life any thing containing a circle or circular arc is the application of circular arc approximation in CAD.means in the designing of that object circular arc approximation is used...?
