now probability density is a fancy term means the likelihood of finding an electron: now electrons are most likely to be found in orbitals, 95% probability. what this means is that it's based on the idea that electrons are in clouds, what does this mean? electrons reside in orbitals like i said. this mode of the atom is called the quantum mechanical model and is based on the idea that we can neither know the exact position nor momentum of an electron. what does this mean? well this is more complicated. but getting back to the idea is that in this model is based off the fact that we just cannot know exactly where the electrons are, they can be anywhere.
