Atsie (atsie):

Excuse me, attention for two seconds please. I just HAVE to have a little lecture! I'm noticing a lot of things on OpenStudy, and one of them is ungratefulness and the other is rudeness. Now, I know I'm just a mere user and I don't have a purple username with moderator sketched all over it and no one has to pay attention to me...but I still feel the need to call this out! Why is it whenever someone posts a question and another person goes to answer, then THAT person goes offline without communicating? And vice versa.

Atsie (atsie):

Why is it when someone takes the time to answer someone else's post and goes into depth and detail to give proper instructions, you get " just give me the answer" as a response. Why is it when people go to respond to a question they play games and say that they will help but yet they don't? Why is it that some people don't know how to say thank you, and be appreciative of everything that you've done for them? Why is it that people feel the need to talk down and disrespectfully to each other and also authority? Rudeness and ungratefulness, they are both so distasteful! I'm sure I'll get some kind of hate (heaven forbid that my account gets deleted to) for even saying this, but I (and I'm sure others would as well) would love to see some gratefulness towards each other for even bothering to try and be helpful! Some respect and civilization! Some understanding and some love. Some ambition to actually learn instead of cheating our way through school which is essentially cheating our way through life. Something! Anything!

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Yeah I know what you mean but don't get so fed up for it, if your helping for somebody and he/she keeps asking for simply the answer, just ignore until they are willing to learn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Worth my two seconds! :) I totally agree

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

We get stuff like this a lot, but it would be nice to post this in feedback not math :)

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

It really is a shame that many users misuse this site, I do agree. However, let us use this time and consideration to bring to mind the optimistic side. While some users are misusing the site, there are still several amazing users who use the site properly... those who truly care. We can all improve OpenStudy together if we all try our very best to work together to really improve our community. It may be a challenge, but do try to be kind to those who are unkind because maybe one day, they'll ponder over the kind words said and realize that they need to change. Encourage the users to follow the rules, as each rule has been implemented for good reason- each reason being to the benefit of all users, to create/maintain a kind, happy, and loving family! With this said, one of the best ways to help to improve OpenStudy is by reporting such misuse and misconduct immediately. If the issue does not get reported, there is little chance that it can be resolved. Us Moderators generally don't know an issue exists until it is reported, so please, report any issues you see right away. \(\large\rm\color{blueviolet}{We~can~fix~this~together!}\) Thank you for creating such a wonderful post, as it is necessary indeed! This is something that I believe all users should see. \(\large\rm\color{blueviolet}{Thanks~for~all~you~do~on~}\color{cyan}{Open}\color{lightgreen}{Study!}\) \(\large\rm\color{blueviolet}{I~hope~you~all~have~a~wonderful~day/night,}\) \(\large\rm\color{blueviolet}{Keep~up~the~amazing~work!}\)

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

well we all go through this but i'm the kind of person who communicates when i can cause i'm not able to be on all the time and i do thank people for helping me but when i don't i do later on. I am also the type of person who doesn't care what people think of me or say about me, not trying to be rude or anything but if i am i am truly sorry.

Atsie (atsie):

@dtan5457 Yes, I know. I most definitely do not attempt getting all overworked about it and I try to be patient all the time, but its a tad frustrating!

Atsie (atsie):

@Whitemonsterbunny17 Thank you for reminding me of the positives. I usually see them more than I see the negatives around here, but I just had a nagging that made me make this post because I still see some people who act so oblivious to what they are doing. Thank YOU for always being there by the way :)

Atsie (atsie):

@adamgrimm Hey, your not being rude at all! This is meant for everyone to express their thoughts. I don't mind. And I'm glad to see that you try to be a nice citizen around here! Thats truly great! I see that your kind of new anyhow, so welcome!! :)

OpenStudy (adamgrimm):

thanx

Atsie (atsie):

Of course :) @adamgrimm
