WILL GIVE MEDAL. A function with the domain (2, 3, 4) has a specific range. Determine the function and its range. The function with the domain (2, 3, 4) is... A: 3x + 2 B: x + 1 And its range is... C: (2, 6, 8) D: (8, 11, 14)
Do you know what the domain and range of a function are?
Not really, which is exactly why I'm confused with this problem.
A function has ordered pairs of the form (x, y). The domain is the values you can use for x. The range is the values you can use for y.
For example, if you have a function with these ordered pairs: {(1, 5), (3, 15), (6, 28)} The domain is the set {1, 3, 6} and the range is the set {5, 15, 28}.
Okay. So, what would be the answers to the question? Or how would we figure it out?
I think A,D
