FAN AND MEDAL

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

y=mx+b m= change in y / change in x (rise over run)

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

x is always your independent variable and y is your dependent variable

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

b is your y intercept at x=0

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

Still going to be important unless there's one number you can multiply each x value by to get your dosage then b=0 otherwise you need to subtract or add b in each case.

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

Okay so there's a pattern, it isn't linear, although b traditionally implies something linear. I divide y by a number then I subract a fraction of the remainder, it's the same fraction everytime.

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

Can you see the pattern?

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

You will have multiply each x value by a number such that you stay under your y value but close to it then add a fraction involving the remainder.

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

did you get y=mx+b form utilizing the remainder where b=nx?

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

Okay, if you don't notice that you can multiply each x weight by 1/4 then subtract 5/6 of the x, you could also recall m=rise of run or the y2-y1 / x2-x1

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

use two consecutive y values and divide by the difference between two consecutive x values.

OpenStudy (dannyo19):

36-24 / 7.5-5 =m
