Anything that is not record in GDP:
Black market
A Farmer consuming his own crops
Growing your own veggies in the backyard
etc.
Any activity that does not result in transfer of money from one person to another.

e.g. you read a book in your house - non-economic.

If you read a book to an audience and you get paid for it - economic.
