I'd draw the line at the point where parents no longer consider what their child wants to do. The point where it becomes about the parent's expectations, and coerces their child to do their bidding. Though there can be a healthy balance, a parent wanting their child to explore various sports, make friends, engage in teamwork, along with what the child wants to do.
