OpenStudy (blowery):

Write a formula for the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is the "negative reciprocal" compute the slope, the flip it and put a minus sign in front

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by "compute" i really just mean "write it"

OpenStudy (blowery):

Thank you, so the answer would be m = -x2-x1/y2-y1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. of the minus sign is in front of the whole thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-\frac{x_2-x_1}{y_2-y_1}\]

OpenStudy (blowery):

Awesome, how do I give you a medal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can click on "best response" but honestly i have plenty bought my bike with the first 1000

OpenStudy (blowery):

I did. Thanks again
