How did the French and Indian War affect the 13 colonies?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was a war next to the colonies, started by the colonies. Colonial soldiers fought in the was alongside British regulars. And the threat of enemy natives caused Britain to put a protective detail of soldiers in the colonies to be payed for by a modification in the existing tax of sugar, which actually reduced the tax.

The french and Indian war affected the 13 colonies by putting them in risk of danger and in lots of debt. King George then forced(or tried at least) taxes upon them. This sparked the american revolution.
