OpenStudy (shaleiah):

Could anyone help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they want you to write this in vertex form, takes only two steps what is half of \(-8\)?

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

sorry open study froze...4

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

@satellite73 -4

OpenStudy (lynfran):

y=x^2-8x+6 we take half of -8 and square it so we get y=(x-4)^2+6-16 because we add 16 we had to subtract 16 to keep the equation balance

OpenStudy (lynfran):

so y=(x-4)^2-10

OpenStudy (lynfran):

we usually complete the square on the x terms

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

Got it

OpenStudy (lynfran):

ok
