Please help me. SOS William’s next project is the kitchen. To keep their kitchen remodel within budget, William and his wife decided to track the kitchen remodeling expenses. They have set aside money to start the project and recorded all transactions on a spreadsheet. I need to type more stuff hold on (btw pls explain if u can)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kitchen products: Action: Balance: (blank) Put Aside $500.00 for $5000.00 kitchen project Flooring Paid $3879.45 Refrigerator Paid 788.87 Island stools Paid for 4 chairs at 35.98 Paint Paid $284.07 Stove Paid 558.00 (blank Deposited additional $2000.00 in account Granite counter Paid 2541.75 for 50.5 ft2 with instillation (blank) Deposited??? -525.06

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a) Calculate the new balance for each line on the spreadsheet. that's the question

@jim_thompson5910

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Oh my goodness, there are so many worrrrrrds on this page...

zepdrix (zepdrix):

You have to fill in the "blanks"? or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know, i'm so frustrated since i've been doing these type of questions for hours now :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And get confused about most of them >_<

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Oh we're just calculating the balance after each payment, I see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how to do that

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Is the first line a typo? Put Aside `$500.00` for kitchen project $5000.00 Did you mean to type %5000.00 for kitchen project?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says Balance 5,000.00

zepdrix (zepdrix):

$5000.00*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Then the flooring was paid for, $3879.45. So the new balance is 5000.00 - 3879.45 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um not sure, but ok

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

1120.55 first one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok ty

zepdrix (zepdrix):

...

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

all you do is subract it and add

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for all of them do I subtract them from 5000

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

5,000-3879.45= your balance which was the amount I just told you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I do that for all of them?

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

331.68 would be the next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the balance

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

yes. the next 295.70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

next 11.63

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

-546.37

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

1453.63

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so you're giving the answers alright

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

-1088.12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ty

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that all?

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

-1613.18

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

Now I'll explain it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

5,000 - fridge= BALANCE BALANCE- FLOORING= BAL. BAL-STOOLS= BALANCE BAL-PAINT= BAL-STOVE= DEPOSIT SO 2,000+BAL= NEW BAL BAL-COUNTER=BAL BAL+525=? ?-525=BALANCE

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

Need anymore help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um, wow, jeez thanks! And unfortunately, yes

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

We'll do the next one together okay! just repost and tag me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll just put the question here since we still need the chart thing: (b) Without the installation, the granite cost $2398.75. How much is the granite per square foot? (btw thanks so much for your help so far!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sbuck?

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

you do 2398.75/50.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where'd you get 50.5?

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

The chart, you divide the price of the granite by the square footage.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, well that was quick

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

What you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I expected it to be a long series of explanation, but you just gave a simple equation to solve ^_^ (thought it'd be difficult)

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

Need anymore help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm well I want to try to solve the next 2 questions on my own and kind of reveiw on what you just said, so currently, no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe in a bit idk, but ty

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

tag me if you need help!

OpenStudy (sbuck98):

close this question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

already did lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 more: (d) William sees that his wife made a deposit after the granite counter was purchased, which resulted in the balance’s being -$525.06. She forgot to record the amount and does not remember how much she deposited. How much did William’s wife deposit? Show your work. This is my last one! @sbuck98
