OpenStudy (christos):

can u help me differentiate this https://www.dropbox.com/s/aopcgk4i12qlmn3/Screenshot%202016-01-05%2019.07.30.png?dl=0

hartnn (hartnn):

separate it into 2 different terms

hartnn (hartnn):

first get rid of the sqrt and factor out the 1/2

OpenStudy (christos):

how would I factor out 1/2 ?

OpenStudy (christos):

I dont understand how he got rid of the 1/2 in that fraction first step

hartnn (hartnn):

what you did is correct....differentiate each term separately

OpenStudy (christos):

its not mine ;p

OpenStudy (christos):

I just dont understand the first step where he crosses out the 1/2

hartnn (hartnn):

"crosses out" \((\dfrac{a}{b})^{n} = \dfrac{a^n}{b^n}\)

hartnn (hartnn):

and then ln (A/B) = ln A -ln B

OpenStudy (christos):

oh I get it , thank you
