Can someone please help me? Identity the type of sentence. The police officer ran into the house. Simple sentence Compound sentence Complex sentence Compound-complex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which do you think it is? do you know the difference between the sentences?

OpenStudy (savannaadams16):

I think it's a simple sentence?

OpenStudy (pinkcandyrosez882):

I would probably agree with you because compound sentence usually have a word like "yet" or "and" and it doesn't seem complex :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A simple sentence is rather simple lol, just one subject, one clause, one predicate. Subject, the officer, clause was the verb, ran and predicate was the house I guess

OpenStudy (savannaadams16):

Thank you! I actually have a ton more. English isn't my best subject.

OpenStudy (pinkcandyrosez882):

That's a better way of explaining it that what I did lol sorry thanks @_KingFwea_

OpenStudy (pinkcandyrosez882):

And okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem @pinkcandyrosez882 ^-^

OpenStudy (pinkcandyrosez882):

Thanks :D
