What is the value of x in the diagram help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 17 B .15 C. 105 D.68 please help anyone to solve this

OpenStudy (heart_offire):

i think it 4y degrees because the x axis goes across and the y axis goes down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Choices wise are above, I don't think it would be a large number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But it could maybe be 105, I'm just not sure what formula to use

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Qwertty123 can you help ?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

It seems that there is a vertical angle formed with 7x+7 and 112. Which means that those sides will have the same angles of 112 degrees. \(7x + 7 = 112\) now you can solve for \(x\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would you go about doing this? @calculusxy Is there a formula to find x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A certain set up when finding x?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

no, you just need to isolate \(x\) and then find the value of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@calculusxy I got 15?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

me too. I got \(x = 15\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about y do we need to use this at all? Or no since we aren't finding y.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

the question doesn't ask for \(y\), so i don't think that we need to find out the value of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I'll go with 15.

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

Sorry. My computer froze and I had to restart it! It looks like you go the answer though! :)
