I am currently doing calculating sales tax and here's the problem. 6.4% sales tax on one Answering Machine ($107). What is the sales tax?

well sales tax is money that gets taken away for stuff like new roads or rebuilding things, so if you had $100 and sales tax was 10% you would multiply 0.10 and 100 and get 10, so you would take $10 off then get $90. Does that answer your question?
