This has to do with discrete-time fourier transform(DTFT). If x[n] is of of length N and has a DTFT X(w). Create x1[n] equal to multiplying x[n] with a unit sequence , p[n], exactly of length N, such that x[n] * p[n] = x1[n] = x[n]. The DTFT of x1[n] is should be equal to X(w), but it is not, because it is convolution of X(w) and DTFT of p[n]. Please explain.
