Check My answer for one question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Choices A & B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pretty sure it is a

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

not a heheh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I chose A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here are choices C & D

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

\(F(x)=Ax^3+Bx^2+cx+d\) would have more one solution if B and C are non zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait I Just looked at my work again! Its D! am I correct?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

you just look at B, C, D are check the given solution in your equation

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

otherwise you won't know from just a the curve itself

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

see the bottom of each graph the 3 solutions are given check them out for each graph with the equation you are given if they give 0 all of them then they are the correct one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was making an error. I checked my work again and I am positive that it is D though. Which is 0, -1.29, 0.65

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

how did you check it is! i have not checked so not sure

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

u need to plug in the values to see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I did was factor one side of the equation.. (Which was the left side). Then I made sure the factors WERE equal to 0.

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

you mean you did this \[x(19x^2+12x-16)=0\]

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

one solution is obviously 0 the other two you solve the quadratic

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

D is wrong dear

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

does not check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my teacher said I could get hw help. I just sent out the hw and chose my answer and I got it correct.

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

sorry d is good i forgot signs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You may be making the error but its ok thanks

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

yeah i used the equation \[x(19x^2+12x-16)=0\] i forgot i multiplied out by the - which reflects the graph around x axis
