OpenStudy (1dfanatic):

what is the greatest value in the range of y=x^2-7 for the domain {-2, 0, 1}?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

If the domain consists of just three numbers {-2,0,1}, then the range will also consist of just three numbers, or fewer! What are those y-values? Which one is the largest?

OpenStudy (1dfanatic):

-6?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

What were the other 2 y-values?

OpenStudy (1dfanatic):

-11&-7

OpenStudy (1dfanatic):

@mathmale

OpenStudy (mathmale):

-6 is definitely the largest of those three values. Nice work. Any comments or further qeustions about this problem?

OpenStudy (1dfanatic):

Nope thank you so much!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

You're welcome! Take care.
