Thomson proposed that
the atom is mostly solid space.
the electrons are spread through a solid, positive nucleus.
the electrons orbit around the nucleus.
atoms are the smallest particle.

@iGreen help?
OpenStudy (shreehari499):
Heya @amina_soneviseth ! Do you have any guesses?
OpenStudy (amina_soneviseth):
ummm i know its not the first one. maybe c?
OpenStudy (shreehari499):
Do you know the alternative name of this model?
OpenStudy (amina_soneviseth):
hmm the plum pudding model?

Exactly! So it says something related to the plum pudding right? The electrons are spread throughout the atom...So what option fits better (not the best) ?
OpenStudy (amina_soneviseth):
b? :)
OpenStudy (shreehari499):
Yup..nut there is one small problem with that option...Thomson did NOT tell anything about NUCLEUS at that time...but still that option makes more sense
OpenStudy (shreehari499):
*but

hmm so D?
OpenStudy (shreehari499):
The main idea behind Thomson's model is the spreading of electrons inside the atoms...so the better option here become B
OpenStudy (amina_soneviseth):
ahh okay thank you for your time! :) could you help with 1 more?
OpenStudy (shreehari499):
Yeah sure...but make sure you close this post and repost the new question
OpenStudy (amina_soneviseth):
Bohr developed a model of the atom where electrons
are positively charged.
are mixed with protons and neutrons in the atom.
orbit around the nucleus.
travel like waves in the electron cloud.
