Will Metal!!!!!! Please help Describe the function of lungs in the respiratory system.

The lungs function is gas exchange. CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) switches places with O2 (oxygen). the Sacs in the lungs transfer the O2 to the bloodstream, which sends it to the rest of the body's organs. By the way, this is a biology or health science question. Not a chemistry question.
