Will Medal The table below represents a linear function f(x) and the equation represents a function g(x). x f(x) −1 −11 0 −1 1 9 g(x) g(x) = 5x + 1 Part A: Write a sentence to compare the slope of the two functions and show the steps you used to determine the slope of f(x) and g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already know what f(x) and g(x) are are , just need help comparing them to write into a sentence

Nnesha (nnesha):

what is f(x) ?? have you tried to write an equation for f(x) ?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I have slope of g(x) = 3, and y-intercept = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the -2 is f(x)

Nnesha (nnesha):

what's the slope intercept form equation ??? and how did you find -3 for slope ? and please retype the table

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the table would have an X with -1, 0, 1 under it and next to it would be f(x) with -11,-1,9 under it and I got -3 for slope because I had g(x) = 3x -2

Nnesha (nnesha):

well g(x) isn't equal to 3x-2 i'm asking how did you find out the slope and y-intercept for f(x) function ? how do you know its going to be 3x-2 ?
