I was thinking more of a fantasy feel. Involving elves and magic.

Elves and Wizards have been in a century long war and you follow one elf or wizard who is going to change everything. (Possibly help their side win the war or bring the two factions together.)

I like that idea! Maybe I could start by including a backstory of what brought on the war, then bring in the main character (an Elf), and then continue on with the story. Maybe in the end, the Elves and Wizards come to a peace agreement.
