If Maria spent 40 minutes chatting and that was 20% of her time, we can use proportions to find out long she was on the Internet: 40/x=20%/100% Cross multiply 20x=4000 x=200 minutes spent online Now 25% of that was spent playing games so set up another proportion x/200=25%/100% Cross multiply 5000=100x 50 minutes spent playing games

Thanks Jaminique for your help

No problem. Are you ok with the other problems? Use proportions for them all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I needed is multiply the others % by the 200 hrs Maria spent online?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. For #6, multiply 200*.30 and 200*.15 Then subtract the minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

#7 we already know is 200

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for #6 Maria spend 60 minutes for research and 30 minutes for email

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep

Thanks again Jaminique for your help and God bless you

Not a problem :)
