PLEASE HELP!! Evaluate the expression when a= -1.4 and b= -2.7. -|a|-b A) 1.3 B) 4.1 C) -1.3 D) -4.1

jabez177 (jabez177):

-|a| means absolute value so that'll be positive because absolute value is always positive.

jabez177 (jabez177):

So the new equation is: \[1.4--2.7\] because A is absolute value so it gets rid of the negative. And b is -2.7.

jabez177 (jabez177):

So now, you can use a calculator if you wish, put: 1.4 - -2.7 and you will get your answer. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it is 4.1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think the anwer would be? :)
