can someone please help me answer this question? It's really easy but I just can't figure out the answer. I'll add the directions from the lesson below....

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

Provide a literary example for each genre listed below. Include the following information for each: title author your explanation of why the work fits that particular genre Each explanation should be about 25 words long 1. Short story

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

So if you could just tell me a short story and the author, I will try to do the explanation. By the way, thank you for whatever help you can give me!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just need a short story and who its author is?

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

Yes ma'am, I'm sorry for not replying sooner but my WiFi is very slow today

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe.

OpenStudy (natasha18):

Any one of Aesop's fables would work. http://read.gov/aesop/001.html These might be to simple or short. I don't know your requirements. Hope I helped :)

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

Thank you both very much! I have another question, is a fable the same as a Folklore?

OpenStudy (natasha18):

They are different. A fable is a completely made up story usually that has a moral or teaches a lesson. A folklore originates from a true story, but through the years as it's told over and over, it is changed.

OpenStudy (abbycross167):

oh ok, thank you again!!

OpenStudy (natasha18):

No problem :)
