The _______ circulation brings carbon dioxide-filled blood to the lungs. a) systemic b)pulmonary
Hello There! Any Ideas? :)
"Systemic circulation is the part of the cardiovascular system which carries oxygenated blood away from the heart to the body, and returns deoxygenated blood back to the heart. PubMed Health Glossary. (Source: Wikipedia) Related terms: Blood circulatory system." ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMHT0023062/) "Pulmonary circulation is the portion of the cardiovascular system which carries deoxygenated blood away from the heart, to the lungs, and returns oxygenated (oxygen-rich) blood back to the heart." ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulmonary_circulation)
The systemic blood circulation brings the oxygen deprived red blood cells (that is carrying the CO2) to the heart where it is then carried to the pulmonary circulation in the lungs for gas exchange. so Systemic is tissue to heart. Pumonary is heart to lungs.
