OpenStudy (johnnewman):

What is the exact circumference of a circle with a radius of 17 millimeters? A. 8.5π millimeters B. 17π millimeters C. 34π millimeters D. 68π millimeters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radius is half of the diameter right? So do 17x2, which is 34, then 34 times PI to get your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

17 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

millimeters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait nvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it was diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is 34 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets think about it radius to circumference is 2 x pi x radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check google

OpenStudy (anonymous):

34 would be the diameter. Or am I wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first thing that pops up with circumference

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

Yes it is C. Explanation: \(C = 2pi*r \) Then, \(C = 2pi*17 = 34 pi \) So, \( C = 34 pi~ millimeters \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see I told ya

OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

Hope this helped! Have a great day! :) A medal would also be appreciated! Just click best response next to my name! Also, a fan would be appreciated as well! OpenStudy (anonymous):

you think I am an idiot

OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

Guys, please try to focus on the question. We are trying to help people here... not argue. Thank you. @Liam2004 @ExileTheFallen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ExileTheFallen was wrong when telling me that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think you are an idiot..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can I get a medal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am sorry about yelling

OpenStudy (johnnewman):

thanks guys

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh that is why I got it wrong, I was right originally with 106.76 being C, I just did not realize the PI sign next to the choices.
