OpenStudy (heart_offire):

In a flowering plant species, red flower color is dominant over white flower color. What is the genotype of any red-flowering plant resulting from this species? Question 2 options: Red and white alleles present on one chromosome Red and white alleles present on two chromosomes A red allele present on both homologous chromosomes A red allele present on at least one of the two homologous chromosomes @Mc_Helper @neonumbrella5115

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think it would be? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not know much about this subject because its been a good 2 years since i studied this..... your best guess would be option two. :)

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

So if a plant in this case had a red flower, then its genotype would either be Rr or RR. This means that there could be either two red alleles or one red and one white. Does that help narrow your choices a bit?

OpenStudy (heart_offire):

yea, based on your information i would think its D because if a red allele has to come out it would have to be dominant right?
