There's quotes I'm suppose to respond to but I honestly don't know were to start .
"You can't cut characters off from their society and say much about them as individuals." 
"You can't say anything meaningful about the mystery of personality unless you put that personality in a believable significant social context"

I'm suppose to  pick  a short story and evaluate how the social context & characters work together and explain and develope the characters thoughts words and actions . I just don't know what the quotes mean 😞
