What is the area of this parallelogram? A. 67.41 ft2 B. 134.82 ft2 C. 162.64 ft2 D. 325.28 ft2

OpenStudy (chantysquirrel1129**):

Do you have a picture of the parallelogram? c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do not have the pic but i have the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay what are the numbers

OpenStudy (danjs):

base times height, for those, same as a right angled parallelogram, or rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30.4 ft ,12.6 ft an 10.7 ft

OpenStudy (chantysquirrel1129**):

Can you draw it out for us? c:

OpenStudy (danjs):

may have to calculate the height use a right triangle

OpenStudy (ericthestein):

The area of a parallelogram is \[A = BH\] In which B is base and H is height. You know that 10.7 is the base. The height is the distance between the top and bottom lines from the very bottom to the very top, with a straight vertical line, perpendicular to the bottom line. Since you know that this is 12.6, try doing A = 10.7 * 12.6 to find your area.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you u get a medal

OpenStudy (ericthestein):

No problem. Make sure to put \[ft ^{2}\] after your answer. Thank you!

OpenStudy (ericthestein):

Oh it's multiple choice nevermind
