OpenStudy (cam7661):

Fill in the missing information on the proof.

OpenStudy (cam7661):

OpenStudy (danjs):

ok, where you at

OpenStudy (cam7661):

I think I figured out the first one I think, M angle 2 90d is = M angle 3 90d?

OpenStudy (danjs):

the general idea is just that 1 + 2 = 90 = 3 + 4 and 2=3 therefore 1 =4 from that

OpenStudy (danjs):

the first two lines a and b, are th egiven statements

OpenStudy (danjs):

those are first usually

OpenStudy (danjs):

following the logic, next they saya larger angle is the sum of two smaller ones that make up the larger, , i guess that is the property name they did

OpenStudy (cam7661):

Yeah.

OpenStudy (danjs):

you want to get to say angle 1= angle 4, logically without assuming anything

OpenStudy (cam7661):

Yeah,without plugging.

OpenStudy (danjs):

the next is probably saying 1 +2 = 90 and 3+4=90,

OpenStudy (danjs):

it is given the bigger angle is 90, and it is composed of the smaller two angles 1 + 2, putting together you say that 1 + 2 = 90, although obvious, you have to state it i guess

OpenStudy (cam7661):

Yeah it's weird. I really don't like it.

OpenStudy (danjs):

like c = a + b and c = 25, you say also now, a+b=25 from that property they put there

OpenStudy (cam7661):

I get what it's trying to say and somewhat how to figure it out. But I just don't know what to put.

OpenStudy (danjs):

the next one may be the same reason, using the substitution thing it is known know 1 + 2 = 90 3 + 4 = 90 also given that 3 = 2 so with 3 and 2 the same, 1 and 4 must be the same

OpenStudy (cam7661):

For D I put Angle 1 and 2 =90 and angle 3 and 4 =90.

OpenStudy (cam7661):

Now I'm trying to figure out how to word F. Seeing as how E is angle 1 + angle 2 = angle 2 + angle 4 which is obviously 90 when both are added together

OpenStudy (danjs):

yeah looking at the whole proof, i would put the D as 1 + 2 = 3 + 4 substitution, the 90 is already shown

OpenStudy (danjs):

then to get from that to the next, they substituted the given that 2 = 3, 1 + 2 = 2 + 4

OpenStudy (danjs):

from that, they subtract angle 2 , leaving the final proof statement, 1 = 4

OpenStudy (cam7661):

Ok, I think I understand now. I can finish the reasons on my own. Thanks for your help.

OpenStudy (danjs):

i can reason some of the proofs, the names for the properties is what i cant remember,

OpenStudy (danjs):

k, goodluck
