4. Identify the angles as complementary or supplementary and then find the value of x. (1 point) • supplementary, 65º • complementary, 155º • complementary, 65º • supplementary, 155º 5. Which equation can be used to find the value of x in this figure? (1 point) • 90 + x = 106 • 106 – x = 74 • 106 + x = 180 • none of these

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you know when an angle has name of complementary and when supplementary ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I forgot heres the attachments for each question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my answers are: 4. A 5. B

imqwerty (imqwerty):

complementary angles->2 angles which add up to 90 supplementary angles->2 angles which add up to 180 now in the 1st pic what do u think those angles are? supplementary or complementary?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be complementary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so whats the answer?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

we know that in 1st figure x and 25 are complementary therefore x+25=90 from here you just have to find x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

imqwerty (imqwerty):

x+25=90 subtract 23 from both sides you get- x+25-25=90-25 x=65 :) and we know that the angles are complementary so it will be C

imqwerty (imqwerty):

subtract *25 from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so the answer for 4 is C

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ☺

imqwerty (imqwerty):

now for question 5 what do u think those angles r complementary or supplementary? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

supplementary :)

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes correct :) now we need to find the equation which can be used to find x now because 106 and x are supplementary they must add to 180 try finding the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be C

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY so im all done let me double check if these are the right questions: 1. A 2. C 3. B 4. C 5. C

imqwerty (imqwerty):

i forgot the 1,2,3 answers ):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

i mean that okay nvm ima get back to your old post to see the question 1,2 and 3 to check ur answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yeah its correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so all of the questions are okay

imqwerty (imqwerty):

yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS SO MUCH I GOT A 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heres a medal

imqwerty (imqwerty):

lol np :)
