OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (harleygirl18):

Solve. http://lv.k12.com/mediaFiles/Ninth_Grade/Math/Unit15164/Lesson65008/05_07_LQ_4.gif A. s ≥ –2 B. s ≤ –2 C. s ≥ –18 D. s ≤ –18

OpenStudy (md152727):

Sorry, my computer blocks the website, can you please attach the pic?

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

it's c or d

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

because if -s/3 is bigger it's probably bigger

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

or smaller

OpenStudy (harleygirl18):

so is it c or d

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

yep what do you think it is

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

the answer is D

OpenStudy (harleygirl18):

I think its's D

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so there is -s --- >= 6 3 yes ?

OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

because if you notice - s/3 is smaller because it's a negative so you multiply each side by 3 and get your answer

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so the first step cross multiplie and what will get ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

-s >= 18 yes ?

OpenStudy (harleygirl18):

yes

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

but from this result that s will be smaller or equal -18 yes ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

this mean that choice D. is right sure hope you understand it now - ok.?
