Pythagorean Theorem Help!!!! 13. a=7 and c=SQRT 85 15. a=1 and c=SQRT 2 19. a=6 and c=6(SQRT 2)

OpenStudy (boldjon):

hm..

OpenStudy (katie_rogers101):

? @boldjon

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

are you given any daigram

OpenStudy (katie_rogers101):

Unfortuantly no I am not. I am trying to solve for b that is all it tells me. @xapproachesinfinity

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

so I'm assuming you need to find b for each case?

OpenStudy (katie_rogers101):

yes. I found them when the problems were simple just giving numbers for a and c but I don't know how to find them when a number is being squrt

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

okay! usually you should have a diagram with this question showing the sides of a triangle what a is and what c is

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

I will assume c is the hypotenuse, but really it depends on the picture provided

OpenStudy (katie_rogers101):

|dw:1452286033716:dw| something like this?

OpenStudy (katie_rogers101):

well thats how Ive been answering it but I guess it could be anything.

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

so you are given the picture after all

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

no don't just answer things without proper guidelines

OpenStudy (katie_rogers101):

Okay let me relook at the lesson maybe somewhere in the booklet she gave me there will be something
