Find the leg of each isosceles right triangle when the hypotenuse is of the given measure. Given = 5√6 They already gave me this: __ __ 3 I would like to know how I would solve this problem.

@SolomonZelman

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so for any isoscoles right triangle the hypotenuse is found by being just multiplied by sqrt(2) and one of the legs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So try dividing the hypotenuse given by sqrt(2) and that should give you both legs

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Alright, I'll try that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Keep in mind that this is an isosceles right triangle so both legs will be the same
