which of the following would be appropriate criteria for analyzing this piece of art?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@16dsanders @Abhisar @Agl202 @AlexandervonHumboldt2 @alivejeremy @Awolflover1 @DanJS @DERRICKCURRY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zepdrix @Zeronknight @sweetburger @sky060902 @safyousuff97 @SamsungFanBoy @south843 @Secret-Ninja @Susanna @superman38 @south843 @Loser66 @Kitten_is_back

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. ability in predicting fashion trends B. creating abstract imagery using exaggeration C. using warm colors to create the mood D. capturing and accurate representation of an historic figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me @Awolflover1

Awolflover1 (awolflover1):

Yes. I'm trying to think..hmm..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

Awolflover1 (awolflover1):

What does the picture looks like to you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i think there exaggerating about his face

zepdrix (zepdrix):

but but.. the pretty colors

zepdrix (zepdrix):

so warm and vibrant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it's just grey and black

zepdrix (zepdrix):

i know, i jk :) lol

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So B or D, ya? Which one you leaning towards? This doesn't look to be depicting anyone specific. It's just some sketchy lines to exaggerate his age and connection to his culture I suppose. I would lean towards B :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhhhhhh i seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thankyou can u help me with more? @zepdrix

zepdrix (zepdrix):

ya let's try :O Art isn't really my jam, but maybe we can figure them out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankyou what is the most likely reason the artist used the color red in the art

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Seems like the artist is trying to draw our attention to the city, and not any particular person. hmm let's see what the options are though ^^ hehe

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Multiple choice for this one or no? :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. TO CREATE CONTRAST TO ATTRACT THE VIEWER'S ATTENTION B. TO CREATE A MOOD OF EXCITEMENT THE PIECE C. to create patterns that illustrate rapid movement D. to create a confusion within the image sorry for caps my computer is acting up

zepdrix (zepdrix):

It's certainly not C. Notice that the red is used for a STOP light, and a bunch of awnings of buildings. Everything in red is very stationary, no feeling of movement at all.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

The red is making certain things stand out. It's certainly not creating confusion, at least not for me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO is it A i think it is

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Yes, that makes sense to me :) The colors in the image are GREY and RED, they don't really evoke any excitement. It's like the red pulls your view away from the people walking by, to look at the bustling cityscape in the back. contrast, yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay are u willing to help me with 8 more?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

8 seems like a lot XD I dunno if I have the energy for that haha just post another :D I'll let you know if I have to leave

zepdrix (zepdrix):

we'll do as much as we can :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. an illustration of abstract imagery B. an illustration of monochromatic color usage C. an illustration of daily life in modern china D. an illustration to depict traditional culture

zepdrix (zepdrix):

can you just attach image or something? :d
