OpenStudy (fairygirl0404):

The length of a rectangle is 4 more than 3 times the width. If the perimeter is 104 meters, what is the width of the rectangle?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

We would have to write this as an equation so... We have "4 "more than" 3 "times" the width...now how would you write the equation?

OpenStudy (fairygirl0404):

3x+4=104

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct ^^ now we need to simplify.... so we need to get 3x by itself so we -4 and what we do to one side we do to the other ....|dw:1452231478944:dw|
