Which expression could be used to calculate the amount of tax on an item if the tax is 6% and the item is d dollars?
Please help me?

The 6% is supposed to be 6 1/2 %

\[original amount + tax = amount of tax\]
What ever you get you would add that to the original amount...

But to get tax into a decimal which is needed we would take the decimal to the left twice...
