Help Please! How could you use this cartoon to support American Imperialism?

I wouldn't support imperialism. That doesn't really work well with principles of a free people.
But I agree this cartoon shows American Imperialism. It shows lands we controlled after the Span/Am War. Tries to make it look like a good thing. The eagle and stars go for the patriotic feel as if to imply this is a good American thing to do.

The Philippines became independent and Puerto Rico has had chances to leave but have not. Hawaii seems stuck with us. So we pretty much tried to set things right.
