Sister chromatids: are identical chromatids made during replication of a single chromosome and is therefore only for 1 parent. homologous chromosomes: are chromosomes that are identical (homo from latin meaning "same") and has almost the same the same size and genes. heterologous chromosomes: are chromosomes that are not identical (hetro from latin meaning the same).
