OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Determine excluded values for the denominator...

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

|dw:1452298835593:dw| My book has this like "getting rid of" an x. And then it being x and x^2-4x or something. I'm finding excluded values for the denominator.

imqwerty (imqwerty):

so you wanna find the values of \(x\) which cannot be taken?

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

yes. but only for the denominator.

imqwerty (imqwerty):

okay well whenever we divide the denominator cannot be taken as \(0\) rather than \(0\) the denominator can take all values so \(x^3-4x \ne 0\)
