OpenStudy (ray1998):

Please help! Fan and medal will be given. Thank you in advance:) Find the annual percent increase or decrease that y = 0.35(2.3)^x models. A. 230% increase B. 130% increase C. 20% decrease D. 65% decrease

OpenStudy (danjs):

each x value increase by 1, the 0.35 value is multiplied by another factor of 2.3, if x is in years, then yeah that is the increase rate 2.3 each year

OpenStudy (ray1998):

Okay, thank you very much :) @DanJS

OpenStudy (danjs):

is it 230% or 130%

OpenStudy (danjs):

maybe, put (1 + 1.3) to see that the change in the value, is 1*value +1.3*value additional

OpenStudy (danjs):

original + increase the original value + 1.3*value

OpenStudy (danjs):

the increase was 130% take for x=0, and x=1 y is 0.35 , and .805 the change in value is the increase .805 - .35 = 0.455 0.455 is is 1.3*0.35, the amount of change is 130% of the last value
