A designer wants to make a circular fountain inside a square of grass as shown below. What is a rule for the area A of grass as a function of r?

so because you know that area of a square is side time side in case of this exercise will be A=2r*2r=4r^2 and you know it sure that area of a circle is pir^2 - so because this circle is inside this square us 4r^2 - pir^2 hope this will help you
